On this Essaouira day trip You’ll be picked up from your Marrakech hotel or hostel before 8:00 a.m. Our journey takes us through the scenic R207 route, where you’ll see fascinating sights like argan trees with goats perched in them—a unique photo opportunity! We’ll also visit a women’s cooperative to see how argan oil is made, used for cooking and as a beauty product.
Arriving in Essaouira, you’ll be greeted by the vast North Atlantic Ocean. The old town (medina) is a UNESCO World Heritage site, filled with historic brass cannons and protective ramparts. Modern cafes blend with ancient houses, creating a unique atmosphere.
There’s a lovely promenade along the beach, perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Don’t forget to bring your swimwear, sunscreen, and a towel! We’ll head back to Marrakech by 6:00 p.m., allowing you to enjoy the sunset on the way back. Essaouira is a must-visit coastal city, and this day trip offers a glimpse into its charm and history.
